I have a single band 888 (VHF). When trying to program via the supplied software, the comport setup box only allows me to select between Comports 1 and 3. Comports 2 and 4 do show up in the setup box but are dimmed or greyed out and cannot be selected. But on my computer my 4 USB ports are numbered 5 to 8. Anybody got any suggestions??
i have bought a pair of 777plus vhf 136-174 and i have a question. on the units you can change the power high or low and also you get a cable and software to change power. are they the same funtion ie 5 or 0.5?. i got them after reading your review and they are beating my intek mt5050s buy as much as twice the range so cheers for the review
Hi there, I do not think I understand what you mean. It is a 2m band device. The other device that looks similar is not operate in 2m band. AFAIK, as the hardware dictates...it cannot change to 2m band.However if you as me how to use the programmer, I must admit that I have never did it. I used to do it manually using keypad and not using the computer interfaced software.
